Washington, DC — The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Indian Energy will launch their 2022 Tribal Energy Webinar Series April 13th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mountain Time.
The DOE Office of Indian Energy provides Indian tribes and Alaska Native villages with information on energy efficiency, energy technologies, and project development through webinars and an online curriculum.
Themed “Empowering Native Communities and Sustaining Future Generations,” the 2022 series will focus on how Tribes can position themselves to participate in the energy transition to the benefit of their communities now and in the future.
As the first installment in the DOE Office of Indian Energy’s monthly series, “Office of Indian Energy Policy and Programs—How Can We Help?” will introduce (or reintroduce) the Office and its leadership and share information on offerings, opportunities, and the wealth of informational resources available on their website.
The energy landscape is changing. This webinar series will look at how Tribes can position themselves to participate in the energy transition to the benefit of their communities and future generations.
In addition to tribal energy case studies, each webinar of the 2022 series will share information, tools, resources, and potential funding opportunities. Participants can learn about the impacts of the changing climate on energy infrastructure, explore ways Tribal communities can determine their energy futures, and hear from Tribes who are leading the way.
