Indigenous-Developed Simulation Space Planned for WSU Spokane with Bank of America Grant

WSU Health Sciences students learn and practice in a simulation space in the Center for Native American Health. Historically, Indigenous communities have experienced lower health status and lower life expectancies, in part due to a lack of cultural understanding by health care providers. Indigenous populations have consistently urged the United Nations to incorporate cultural perspectives into health policies and programs to address these disparities.
