The existing Quil Ceda Creek Casino will be replaced by an all-new, 126,700-square-foot Quil Ceda Creek Casino. Forecasted to open in early 2021 at more than twice the size of the current property, the new “Q” as it’s called will offer 500 more gaming machines, bringing the total to 1,500.

The new casino and multi-story garage are being built on 15 acres of Tulalip Tribal land just across the street from the current Quil Ceda Creek Casino, which will remain open during construction of the new property. Construction is available for live viewing here

Beyond an expansion of gaming options, most notable about the new property is integration of state-of-the-industry “green kitchen” technology, such as energy-saving windspeed and induction. Instead of open burners, chefs will use induction cooking, and instead of energy-sucking steam tables, induction-style heat wells will be utilized, and even to-go containers will be compostable.

There’s also an emphasis on fresh, local ingredients from Northwest suppliers — fresh berries from Skagit Valley growers, and wild-caught Puget Sound clams, mussels and oysters.

“From the front door to the back door and beyond, the restaurants at the new Quil Ceda Creek Casino will be the ‘greenest’ in the Northwest when they open. It’s a tribute to forward-thinking by the Tulalip Tribes,” said Belinda Hegnes, Interim Executive VP of Quil Ceda Creek Casino.

The unveiling of ‘The Kitchen,’ ‘The Landing’ and other new food and beverage venues will support the Tribes’ goal of delivering an unparalleled gaming, dining and entertainment experience. “Healthier, safer and environmentally conscious technology literally transforms the way recipes are developed and prepared. And by embracing the ‘green kitchen’ concept, we are aligning our operations with the Tulalip Tribes’ commitment to the environment,” Hegnes said.
